Callus (hyperkeratosis)

Callus can be described as a hard or rough area of skin that tends to be yellow in colour. They are caused by repeated friction or pressure on the skin.
Splits and fissures in the callus area can occur and if these are deep they may bleed or become infected.
Callus can be easily reduced or removed by a Foot Health Practitioner. This is painless and should reduce associated discomfort.
