Can babies hear everything in the womb?
When do babies start to hear, and what?
A pregnant patient’s partner asked a practitioner in the treatment room this week..
“when can a baby start to hear?”
Bernitta replied, “I don’t actually know that one!”
Interestingly enough, hearing fully matures in the womb at just 20 weeks allowing detection of volume, pitch, rhythms and durations of sound.
So yes, they really can hear you, and start to learn about the sounds of the world long before they are due to arrive!
