Ready to get back into the swing of things for the new year?

Or make a start on those new year's resolutions ??

Check out these tips below..

Hydrate

Alright let’s start small, you’ve perhaps enjoyed, 1 or 2 bottles of wine, or a crate of beer, or heck even a baileys or two.. Now that the festive season has come to an end let's get you back on track with your health and fitness.

Step 1, Let’s re-hydrate, water still or sparkling, even squash, let bump those numbers back up to a respectable level, 2ltrs for the ladies, 2.5ltrs for the gents on average.

Sleep

“Sleep you say ? “ Ah now you may have been getting more, especially without those pesky early morning alarms, however I'm sure the quality has dropped.

Sleep plays a HUGE role in our health and fitness. Look to re-established sleep routines, those you would normally have when you’ve got work the next day! Such as going to bed at the same time each night.

Not only will this make the eventual day you go back easier, but will let you go through your normal sleep cycles.

Food

I'm sure this one you all expected, But yes eventually your diet will have to consist of more than just celebrations, mince pies and turkey!

This one will take a tad more effort, start to control at least one of your main meals each day, keep it high protein and as nutrient dense as possible! Let's start getting those good habits back..

Exercise

If you can conquer the others this one will be a breeze! Start moving even if it's just increasing your step count, taking the dog out for longer walks, even doing more housework, or doing a home workout is a great start similar to food, it's just about reintroducing old habits.
